My name is Cory Mizer.. I live in Canton, Ohio, so 5 hours behind you.

Match days are kind of an odd experience… Because of the time difference I either have to wake up at 7am or I’m stuck at work in the afternoon, so no two are the same, but weekend matches are when it gets interesting. With no Spurs supporters in the general area I live in, I make an hour drive from the Canton area to Cleveland, Ohio. It’s all highway, but a long trek. I woke up at 6:30am to be up for the North London Derby and braved a snow storm to see the United match (that one took about an hour and 30 minutes). The bar is the Old Angle Tavern in Ohio City, a great little place with a great and dedicated staff, who roll out of bed on a cold Cleveland morning to let us in. Fans of every club are welcome, however, the Spurs dominate the bar. Seeing as I have an hour drive to myself, I listen to the podcast on the way up. I put it off until that time every week.. It’s kind of ritual.

The shit I do for Tottenham, but I tell you, I wouldn’t change it for the world. I look forward to this little trip every week. After a few pints and a few rounds of “Spurs are on their way to Wembley.” I’m set for the rest of my week.

Love the things you guys do at The Fighting Cock.. It’s tough to get any good coverage or banter in the States. Finding this was a blessing.
