We discuss destroying Liverpool. Injuries in celebration. Docking (dear God why?). A mess of a Wigan preview. Monkey Face. We have another enthralling episode of Killer this week hosted by the dyslexic Spooky. Feedback includes more expertly read emails. Monkey Face. A special mention to the John Crace book ‘Vertigo’ and how to win a copy (we have three available – check out the forum for info). Monkey Face!

Love the shirt.

All,

Stumbled across your podcast Day 1 on iTunes. Love it. Being in Dallas there is no opportunity to have camaraderie around the Spurs. I live vicariously through you guys an hour a week.

I want to share my brief history as a fan. I grew up playing, but, had no real access to the EPL. I always bemoaned the fact that I never had a club to support…even more as I am surrounded by people who support clubs (I am the head coach at the University of Dallas). So I decided I would take the challenge of following a team on tv, internet, social media for a year. Hooked me immediately…I am only on month 10.

I set parameters as I went about choosing a team. Chelsea, Man U, City, Liverpool all out because if you aren’t born to them you are a glory hound and a shallow fan. Had to find somebody who stayed in Premier league (as it is hard enough to find games on TV here). Considered Fulham based on American presence. Settled on Tottenham…drawn to them. To cement the relationship I bought stock in the club, walked out to living room and told my wife she was now a Spurs fan, and we now own .00047% of the club.

Christmas gifts included jersey, scarf, and beenie. My kids are on board. 6 year old sings songs, 2 year old runs around the room, claps, and tries to imitate the play (I had to lie to him when watching the US Nat team…he screams and cries if we are not watching Spurs…go to song for 4 month old is glory glory Tottenham Hotspurs to stop any crying. Great fun for us.

New season at University is all the more fun because my new assistant is for Newcastle (having played lower levels and coached and scouted for Newcastle…if anyone has an old version of FM 2000-2004 range please let me know how Adam Clementson rated…he says he knew his career was over when they dropped him from FM) and my other assistant and reserve coach is an Arsenal supporter (not a name player, topped out at the University level).

Thanks for doing what you do.

Awesome work so far, since I dont get as much banter since I let my season ticket go this is a great way for me to get my fix.

I guess I am probably taking the piss here but I am wondering if you can give me, the missus and our son a shout out on the next podcast.

I am a long time season ticket holder, Park Lane Block 33. My first game was 1982. My missus moved over from Florida 4 years ago and her first game was the 125 year game v Villa 3 days after she landed in the UK. She spent 18 months doing all the home games with me before we let our season tickets go as we had a baby on the way.

Well now we are relocating to Tampa, Florida and The Lane wont be as easy to get to, to be honest I got right teared up after the Citeh game (not only because we got battered!). Our 2 year old came to his first game at 6 months and has been a member since he was 3 days old.

Our love as a family for Spurs will just have to be from a few miles away.

We will be listening to the podcast on the plane as we leave at 12:00 on Saturday. Keep up the good work and COYFS!
